Christening Entertainer Cumbria

Christening DJ Cumbria

Hi there everybody, and welcome to my Christening Entertainment Cumbria web page. I cover the whole of Cumbria and surrounding areas. Including; Alston. Ambleside. Appleby-in-Westmorland. Barrow-in-Furness. Bassenthwaite. Bowness-on-Windermere. Brampton. Broughton-in-Furness. Buttermere. Caldbeck. Carlisle. Cartmel. Cockermouth. Coniston. Crosby Garrett. Dalton-in-Furness. Eamont Bridge. Gosforth. Grange-over-Sands. Grasmere. Great Asby. Greystoke. Hawkshead. Kendal. Kentmere. Keswick. Kirkby Lonsdale. Kirkby Stephen. Kirkoswald. Kirkoswald. Maryport. Millom. Milnthorpe. Newby Bridge. Penrith. Ravenglass. Sedbergh. Shap. St. Bees. Staveley. Ulverston. Whitehaven. Wigton. Windermere and Workington.

Cumbria is the largest area I cover. If the distance is under 1 hour journey time, it would come under standard rates. Anything over then I do charge for petrol money and time.

I have a small number of function types, I specialise in. I make sure I stand out, and offer something different from all the other DJ’s/Entertainers in Cumbria. Christenings are one of those function types in where there is a large gap available in the market. Plenty of DJ’s just look at a Christening as fast money. Blast several songs at you the louder the better. So they can look like they are doing the job. Which is trying to get people dancing and go home afterwards thinking easy job done. That’s all fine and dandy, but over in recent years people don’t always want to get a DJ at a christening because they have not been looked upon as a successful party. Which is what makes me such a fantastic as a Christening Entertainment Cumbria Supplier as every job I work I regularly get 3-4 booking from it alone.

I am confident to change all of that. My Christening Entertainment Cumbria activities and games are always plenty of fun for the relatives. They are not boring in the slightest. I come well prepared with plenty of experience for the day ahead.

I have my own sound system, several Disco lighting and fill the role of your Christening DJ Cumbria. With which I play music throughout the party at an suitable level and never too loud for both children and adults alike.

My look at a standard Christening Entertainment Cumbria party:

Adults and children arrive at the venue; I’ve already filled the dance floor with balloons which gives early arriver’s children something to do; they either play with the balloons alone, with children or fling them at parents or me. I get them to throw them and play catch with me as it builds a connection for later in the event.

Usually I would play a musical game with them. I.e, Musical Bumps and after that we’ll enjoy a break for buffet (about an hour into the event)

Following the buffet, I will get them all at the front for introductions where they will learn my name together with the other children’s names that attend. Sometimes quite often brushed past, but is an extremely essential part of growing up. Quite a few of the children will see each other again at other events and it’s nice to know their names for future.

Following the social connection, we move into a game of Giant Twister. Trying to explain the rules is difficult enough and them following the game is even funnier. Always a barrel of laughs and keeps the children engaged.

Once we have everyone out and given sweets to runners up and bubbles for the victors, we’ll begin some dancing. I’m a terrific Dad Dancer and help them learn the whole set of moves to many favourite songs such as; Macarena. YMCA. Music Man, Hokey Cokey and many more. For our first song, I will have the children to bring up a parent each to take part, and afterwards, the mums and dads are excused assuming they want to be, while I keep dancing with the kids.

Determined by age group, I would usually play a ball and hoop game. This has different levels of difficulty and ways to play depending on the age range.  It can be as basic as throw a ball through a hoop but everyone from age 3 up usually takes part. It keeps them engaged with competitive games that get more difficult as the levels increase.

Then another musical game – Musical Statues. This is often always funny as the children keep in mind the rules for musical bumps and some continue playing that game even though we’ve changed over.

Other games I can play dependant on times: Limbo, Team games, Space Hopper Races (after the red tape risk assessments and parental consents, Health and Safety gone mad), similar to a Sack Race, Hoola games, and disc onto target games.

As the event is ending, about 1 hour before, I sit all of them down somewhere within sight of parents and bring out the colouring pads and crayons. I’ve got most of the favourites like, Hello Kitty. Peppa Pig. Buzz Lightyear. Iggle Piggle. Thomas the Tank Engine. Harry Potter and many more.
